Excel Project

The excel project was geared towards implementing specific tools and formulas from the given data and doing a variety of analyses, which would help answer certain areas of interest for the owner's research. The owner's experiment dealt with the effect of exercise to a person's heart rate. Each person was measured every minute through a 15 minute workout. My part of the project was to create answers in specified categories required from the owner, which also included pivot tables that would provide answers to the owner's area of interest.
This particular project was helpful and refreshing. A year ago I had actually taken a computer applications course, which dealt with learning the main programs by Microsoft Office. All of the tasks excluding the pivot tables I had already learned so it wasn't much of a challenge for me during the project. That being said, I found it refreshing because this project enabled me to use the tools I had previously learned and apply them for a specific purpose. The pivot tables were a great part of the project because it allowed me to learn and apply an extremely creative and useful tool within Excel. I can now see why businesses view this as a powerful tool, which can drastically save time and increase accuracy towards specified areas within the company.
